As I was traveling east in Texas on I-20. I came upon a small accident being cleaned up.

Working on my blog

I am going thru my pc and makin sure of whats been posting and putting those pics and vids in organized photos. I realized I have a few things that I need to try to get on the blog. :)

a load of siding in special built wood crates

This load has to be very careful on the securment with straps and also tarped. If straps placed and tightened in the wrong spots - it can damage the product.

My personal pickup pics

My personal pickup. Still as is from purchase (on the outside) from an auction. My joke is i am still REHABING it from all of its problems. It was in jail (impound) for over 2 years from someone using it to as a get away vehicle in some type of crime. It was bought from someone that  controls those type of items sent to auctions after not needing to be held anymore or however that works, but i got it at a good deal. :)

09-20-10 mine stuff 2 Leaving reciever

( Please watch part 1 first ) Part 2 of Video - This is from the end of the residential street  to the 4 lane highway. This is a very tight and curvey 2 lane road - luckly i was empty on the way out - not quite the same as going in loaded but u can see some tight moves - that truckdrivers have to deal with alot.

09-19-10 mine stuff prt1 leaving reciever

I unloadded to the right side of my truck - I have to go up and turn around (on this lil deer trail of a road in a housing area to get back to the highway - that will carry me to the main 4 lane highway. I never get above 20 mph on this vid but looks so much faster with the tight areas. Once I do get turned around  you can see where I unloadded at.

9-1-10 dot scale and passing officer on shoulder

As truckers, we have to go into DOT (department of transportation) - They check to see if we are running legal and safe. After I actually leave the scale, there is a police officer with someone that they pulled over on the shoulder. It is the law that with emergency vehicles on the shoulder , that you move over  (if possible) or slow down, as you pass them for their safety.

8-28-10 Super size load

Any time you see these trucks with the escort vehicles (the cars with flashn yellow lights and oversize signs) please give these guys room because  they need all the room they can get. They have to make wide turns to clear things without running something over.

8-27-10 Even I goof up!!!!!! hahahahaha

Just to prove that I don't think that I am a perfect driver. This video shows how quick a driver can make a mistake. I made this one - even know I have 12 years of driving an 18-wheeler.

But no harm = no foul. Nothing  hit or damaged. Which is a great thing, but I put myself in what could have been a too tight of an area. I would have had to back out of this entry spot, if it was way crowded or tighter turns...

8-25-10 Cutt Closely

On I-40 in Ok. suv nearly clips me. Cutting this close in front of a big truck is a very dangerous move. Patience for one minute to move over whould have put them far enough to have passed safely.

8-19-10 someone always in a hurry

This video is really nothing special, but it shows how some people will be in a hurry just to get infront of someone. this move is particuly dangerous passing on the right side as he is comming onto the interstate in Atlanta.

8-11-10 - To Close for comfort - Barelly Missed

In this 2 min. video (Cam clipped to visor - better quality - might wanna lower volume - Radio playn a story about fire safety). Watch the Ryder truck - as soon as it jumps in left turn lane - look to the right......... I am hualing a 45,000 lbs Steel Coil loaded Suicide (pics of one will come at a later date and time). Loaded Sucide is when the "eye" (hole) is from left to right on trailer.  Meaning if not secured properly and the chains break in a hard stopping incident - the coil will roll off of flatbed -straight thru my truck like a steam roller -killing the driver and any body in front of the big truck hauling it.

No pic's today but I have a lil video that I will post.  ---- Video is not as great on viewing angle but it gives a good ideal of what I deal with and if you watch the mirror you can see some of whats goin on behind me. Remember it is my first video posting :).
It is a 15 minute video.
